Chief Agricultural Scientists from around the world congregated in Brisbane last week for a major meeting in the lead up to this year’s G20 meeting.
As part of the meeting, CRDC and the 14 other Rural Research and Development Corporations jointly hosted a dinner for the Chief Scientists, showcasing high quality Australian produce and rural innovation to more than 50 international guests and Australian dignitaries.
CRDC Chair Dr Mary Corbett and the Minister for Agriculture, the Hon. Barnaby Joyce MP spoke at the event about the importance of rural research and development and the impact of this on cotton and other agricultural industries.
