Ahead of International Women’s Day, CRDC is proud to highlight women driving innovation across Australian agriculture, including our own Susan Maas, featured in The Land’s story “Meet the women revolutionising ag for every farmer.”
As CRDC Innovation Broker, Susan has helped deliver the WAND (Weather and Networked Data) system — a world-first technology developed with GRDC and Goanna Ag to help farmers reduce spray drift, save time and money, and protect the environment.
“WAND is a much-needed solution to a problem shared by primary producers,” Susan said.
Also featured are Georgie Mutton from ROAM Agricultural, Lucy Wellsted at Loam Bio, CRDC-supported rural psychologist and cotton grower Chantal Corish, and Dr Nicole McDonald, whose research underpins CRDC’s SHIFT workforce project.
