The 2026 AgriFutures Horizon Scholarship program is now accepting applications. This scholarship is an outstanding opportunity for students entering the final two years of an agriculture-related undergraduate degree, or a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths/Finance (STEM) degree with majors relevant to agriculture. It is designed for emerging leaders who are passionate about shaping the future of Australia’s rural industries.

Successful scholarship recipients will receive:
- A $5,000 annual bursary for the final two years of their degree
- Professional development workshops
- Annual industry work placements aligned with the scholar’s areas of interest and their sponsor’s industry
- Opportunities to network and gain knowledge at a range of industry events.
The Horizon Scholarship is ideal for students enrolled in full-time study at an Australian university who are committed to making a positive impact on rural industries. Applicants will be assessed on their dedication to a career within rural industries, demonstrated leadership potential and academic performance.
